About Us

History of Club

During the year of 1930, our country was under British Colonial Power. Keeping in mind for togetherness/so 'da ty, the resident of Kailash Banerjee Lane of Central Howrah established the club during 1933. Since the club started by performing Saraswati Puja , the club was named as Howrah Saraswati Club. Subsequently, members decided to carry out social, cultural and sports activities in the locality.

Down Memory Lane

Late Sn' Bidyanath Mukhea'ee, popularly known as 'Nani da', was the pillar of the club. He was able to raise the club to a great height in the field of religious festivals, cultural activities and sports. He was able to bring eminentwriters. journalists, players musicians to the club festivals.Even the legendary magician Late Sri P. C. Sircar (Senior): Late Sri Berendra Krishna Bhadra performed on Sri Mukherjee's initiative. The club is greatly indebted to Sri Mukherjee.
